The bees of Riva

In the Riva di Conegliano olive grove, bees are a living part of the landscape: they accompany the seasons, move through the blossoms and tell the story of this place’s biodiversity.

Since 2020, Veronica has been part of the Provincial Beekeepers Association of Treviso and takes care of several hives within the land, learning day after day to observe, respect and protect the work of the bees.

The honey is produced in small quantities, first of all for the family: a limited, authentic production connected to the natural rhythm of the blossoms and the botanical richness of the olive grove.

Apiary care

A patient practice guided by the seasons

Raising bees means entering into a relationship with a delicate balance: observing the climate, recognizing the blossoms and respecting the timing of the hive.

Beekeeping at Riva di Conegliano began as a personal journey of discovery and continuous learning. It is not an industrial production, but a small, careful agricultural activity connected to the life of the olive grove.

The bees find a rich landscape within the land: fruit trees, acacias, mulberries, bay trees, spontaneous plants and blossoms that change throughout the year.

Hive care

Periodic checks, attention to the health of the colonies and respect for their natural rhythm.

Biodiversity

A living agricultural setting, where olive trees, fruit trees and spontaneous blossoms coexist.

Training

Courses, seminars and in-depth learning help us better understand the world of the hive.

A constant challenge

Harvesting honey is a great satisfaction: it allows me to learn many things and to keep challenging myself.

Honey and culture

Honey carries the story of the land within it

Every honey carries a trace of the landscape with it: the blossoms, the climate, the season and the silent work of the bees.

Veronica is a member of the Honey Ambassadors Association, has completed first- and second-level sensory analysis courses, and attends the annual refresher courses organized by the association.

This journey comes from the desire to better understand what bees produce and to tell its story with respect: not only as food, but as a living expression of a territory.
